We had 3 levels of play; intermediate, advanced intermediate, and advanced. The final match for the advanced championship round was played by Haibo Wang and Kathy Dombroski vs. Peter Conk and Sue Baldinger. After splitting sets, Peter and Sue won the very exciting tie breaking game with a final score of 12-10!! A real nail biter. Steve and Valerie Simler won the advanced consolation round against Jeff Porges and Sheryl Ruth.

In the Advanced Intermediate championship round David Hathaway and Kim Silverman were victorious over Brian Dombroski with Kelly Murphy (Sat) & Joyce Kludt (Sun). The advanced intermediate consolation round was won by Anatoly and Inessa Yurtsev who also played a tie breaking 3rd game pulling out a final game score of 11-9 against Betty Olsen and Fred Goff.

The “up and coming” Tim and Michele McQuay (who have only been playing pickleball a few months) won the Intermediate Championship division over Steve Gilbert and Vivian Oscher. And last but not least, the Intermediate consolation round was won by Steve and Bonnie Tomei vs Ralph Lenz and Regina Franssen (also a new player-WAY TO GO!).

A big thank you to all the participants for coming out and to all the wonderful people that helped put this tournament on including, Anahid Gregg, MJ O’Neill, Kathy Dombroski, Sherry Benz, Liz Kung, Betty Olsen, Steve Simler. and Stan Evert. I wouldn’t think of taking this on without all of you!! Thanks for helping to make it a great success.
